A Time To Reflect
Another year of life is a gift that should be spent not only celebrating, but also reflecting.
22 has been more than I could have ever imagined. It’s challenged me and made me grow in ways that no other year has. It is proof of what happens when we commit to the internal work. And I am just getting started.
There are not enough thanks in the world to express the gratitude and appreciation I feel for being here. I am filled with love, light, grace, positive energy, affirmation, confidence, and assurance. I have two major hopes for 23. In everything I do, I’d like to lead with accountability and with service. I know that if I start with these two practices, then I have no doubt all my other desires will fall into place. I also know that by leading with accountability and service my life will hold even more meaning than it ever has. I’m excited to explore more books this year, layers of myself waiting to be accessed, music that will time stamp the year ahead, and venture off to some of the most meaningful places with some of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met.
22 was special for me. It challenged and re-defined my concept of who I am. Taught me about the importance of manifesting. It gave me confidence, grit, and patience. It showed me how to turn lemons into lemonade. It grounded and centered me in a way that I never have been before. It made me the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been. And then it turned around and used that un-comfort to make me grow in ways that I couldn’t have even seen coming. It humbled my ego. Shifted my focus. It took me to places and opportunities that I will forever be grateful for. Taught me about the importance of valuing and appreciating where I’m at. Re-purposed my gifts and intentions. It showed me that I have power and autonomy over my own life. But amongst all of that, what made it most special was being in a space to share all of my lessons with each and every one of you.
So long as I am here, I am going to use my story, voice, and gifts to validate and shine a light on what I know so many other people continue to experience. We are all a lot more alike than we think. I thank you all for rocking and rolling with Finding Your Voice. This space has been one of the many things that I am most proud of.
I know now that the possibilities from here are infinite. And that goes for every one of us. We all hold so much wisdom, light, and complexity inside of us. I have pushed myself to share more and more of that wisdom, light, and complexity with the world, so I am using this opportunity to urge you and give you permission to do the same. We all need to be heard. Writing, learning, growing, and the internal work don’t happen in a vacuum. I am continually inspired by so many people from all walks of life. I see the potential inside of you! Let it shine. Thank you for the birthday wishes. More to come.
